Insert the tension wrench into the lock opening s bottom and turn the lock to the side as if you were unlocking the door with a key. Unscrew and remove the bottom hinge from the door and the door jamb with a cordless screw gun. Repeat pulling the lock down and up with pressure on the shim until the lock pops open. Push up on the pin with the paperclip.

Then push the lock up while jiggling the shim and push down again on the lock. This simple arduino hack opens millions of hotel keycard doors open a door lock without a key. First pull down on the lock and put the shim in on the right side of the shackle on the inside. Insert the flattened paperclip above the tension wrench pushing until you meet resistance.

Place one side of the hinge flat on a piece of cardboard. Keep holding the tension wrench and apply pressure.
