4 the roof framing consists of seven trusses spaced 24 inches on center with each one composed of an 8 foot long ceiling joist and two 50 inch long rafters that meet a 21 inch long truss support. The members are held together with a 5 8 inch plywood gusset. Much depends on the structure size and the desired attic loft or headroom. Unless of course you have a very steep pitch on your trusses or rafters. Set a ladder at the outside of both corners of the end wall.

Carry a gable end in and set it on the top plate upside down and backwards near the end wall. When you nail in the second boards offset the seams of the upper and lower layers by at least 24 in 61 cm.
