Sheathing the exterior walls is one of the final steps of framing a house.

If you look at older homes and see this material you can often see the drips and stains from the concrete. Sheathing attaches to the outside edge of the exterior walls and supports the exterior siding as well as providing a dry. Then remove the tape.
